Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at South by Southwest? Find out, get involved, and volunteer at South by Southwest Music, Film and Interactive Conferences and Festivals!SXSW is taking place March 7 - 16, 2008 right here in Austin, Texas. Volunteers must work a MINIMUM of 30 hours during that time, or they can work 4 nights during the Music Festival, March 12 - 16. Wristbands, film passes or conference badges can be earned, depending on the amount of time the volunteers work.The SXSW Volunteer Call will take place on Sunday, January 20, at the Hilton Hotel Downtown. New volunteers will be admitted between 2:30 and 5:30pm. Returning volunteers can arrive at 12:30pm. It will take approximately 45 minutes to complete the process, so if you plan to attend, you should arrive no later than 4:30pm. Read the volunteer website and create an online application before attending the call - http://sxsw.com/volunteer/.
