The SXSW Interactive Hub

March 12, 2008

Do not forget the audience and keep the conversation going

Before heading to the airport for my flight back to New Jersey, I wanted to take a minute to first thank Hugh Forrest and his team for being so welcoming and helping me go through the process of setting up my rookie panel Just Over 50 and Not Dead Yet.

I also want to thank my fellow panelists for taking the time in their busy schedule to be there and also their wisdom.

We were wise it seems to keep half of our session devoted to Q & A as the Mark Zuckerberg incident proved.

We do not come to SXSW Interactive to listen to ourselves talking.

We are there to interact with others, learn, be challenged.

I will keep the Just Over 50 companion blog up and open to those of you who want to continue the conversation.

Have a great day

  1. I agree!
Reserving half the session for talk with the audience is key to interactivity - yes!

Where are the Black Tech Bloggers was a great example of the conversation moving from the panelists and swirling around the audience in a moving and exciting discussion of many imporant issues.

I’m sorry I missed your panel on Over 50 & Not Dead Yet and will visit the blog.
